Our team of highly trained career counselors from BOHE are passionate about what students want to achieve in their careers and guide and advise students on the most suitable course of action to achieve their career dreams and aspirations. This guidance is given I particular with which Cambridge International subjects to take for a certain career path. Boston Connect and Boston Online Home Education are also dedicated to promoting and incorporating SEL (social and emotional learning) into the main education offering. Together, we feel it is essential to promote SEL (social and emotional learning) in a healthy and fun yet effective manner. Aside from incorporating SEL in the tuition and presenting of academic subjects, students also receive live and interactive student support sessions once a week with a trained BOHE academic counselor. These sessions assist in career guidance and promote a sense of acceptance and belonging where students can feel they have a safe space to share their experiences, whether positive or negative.
The student consultant does various activities with the students that encourage and instill skills such as:
- effective communication
- critical thinking
- EQ (emotional intelligence)
The sessions also promote talks on the world from a global standpoint in an objective and inoffensive manner. Students also receive career training such as:
- CV building
- work ethics
- office etiquette and more.
